both用法
both用法如下：
1、both与名词、代词连用。both+(of)+the/物主代词/指示代词+名词both直接修饰名词时，不加of。在人称代词前一定要用bothof，不能说bothwe或bothus，但可以说usboth，themboth等。
2、both与动词连用。当both在句中作主语的同位语时，也可与动词连用，both在句中的位置有以下两种情况：放在是动词be之后。放在行为动枣瞎运词前。
3、both作代词时，凳梁可单独使用，其后不接名词。both表示两者都…是个副词，也可以做代词，例：副词：Wearebothstudents.代词：Bothofusarestudents.它的否定形式是neither，神纯词性和both一样，例：副词：Weareneitherstudent.注意是单数名词。代词：NeitherofusISastudent.同样注意也是单数。
位置：一般在放在动词be，情态动词和助动词之后，实义动词之前。作定语时后跟名词复数。Bothofthemescapedfromremoteareas.他们两个人都是从偏僻地区逃出来的。Theyoungmangraspedtheropetightlywithbothhands.这个年轻人用双手紧紧地抓住了绳子。

BOTH用法
1.both用法
1）adj.两者
一般单独修饰名词（复数）做前置定语（但名词前不能有其他限定词修饰），不做表语/补足语。
如：Therearemanyflowersonbothsidesofthestreet.
2）pron.两者
可以单独使用（相当于名词），也可以构成“bothof+其他限定词+名词（复数）”或“bothof+代词”结构。
Botharemygoodfriends.
Bothoftheboysovertherearemygoodfriends.
Bothofthemaremygoodfriends.
3）adv.两者都
一般放在句中，即be动词之后/前均可，助动词/情态动词/行为动词之前。
Theyarebothmyclassmates.

Theybothhaveagoodson.
4）conj.不仅...而且...；...和...都...
一般构成both...and...结构，用于连接句中任意两个并列部分。
如果并列两个主语，谓语动词一般采用复数形式。
如：BothyouandIarestudents.
IcanspeakbothEnglishandChinese.
Theycanbothsinganddance.
Theboyissolazythathesleepsbothinthedaytimeandatnight.
2.neither...nor...既不...也不...
其用法类似于both...and...，即用于连接两个并列成分。
如果连接主语时，谓语动词的数采用就近原则。

Both可作形容词、代词或副词用，意思是“两个”、“双方”、“两个都”。在句中可作主语、宾语或同位语。
如:Both
are
right.两者都对。(主语)
I
like
both.两个我都喜欢。(宾语)
Both可参与构成名词词组，也可和动词连用，还可与and构成并列连词。在使用时，要注意下列几点:
一、Both和both
of后都可接复数名词，构成名词词组。但Both后的名词前可有定冠词、指示代词或物主代词作修饰限定，也可没有;both
of后的名词前却一定要有定冠词、指示代词或物主代词作修饰限定。
如:可以说both(the
these，her)
children;也可以说both
of
the(these，her)children;但一般不说both
of
children。

of后可接人称代词宾格，both后则不可;但人称代词宾格后可接both。可以说both
of
us(you，them)，一般不说both

二、Both与动词连用时，大多数放在系动词be之后，其它动词之前。

三、Both可与and构成并列连词，连接两个性质相同并在句中作相同成分的并行结构。

四、含both的句子变为否定时，是将both改为neither。
如:当肯定句为Both
of
the
boys
are
clever.(两个男孩都聪明)时，否定句当为Neither
of
the
boys
are
clever.(两个男孩都不聪明)。Both后接复数名词，neither后接单数名词，动词的人称和数也要随之变化。若把句子变为Both
of
the
boys
are
not
clever，则是不完全否定。意思是:并不是两个男孩都聪明(一个聪明一个愚笨)。
五、含both…and…的句子变为否定句时，将both…and…改为neither…nor..，连接的两个部分若是名词，可以是单数，也可以是复数。
如:I

woman.
我既认识那男子，也认识那妇女。

我既不认识那男子，也不认识那妇女。

记住both的用法
1.和谓语动词连用时，both应放在
be动词、助动词和情态动词之后，行为动词之前。例如:

for

注意:在简略回答以及感叹句中，
both不能位于句尾，要放在be动词、助动词或情态动词之前。例如:
