产品原理：
IC卡是集成电路卡，IC卡芯片具有写入数据和存储数据的则猛卖能力，可对IC卡存储器中的内容进行判定。在卡上封装有符合ISO标准的芯片，有6~8个触点和外部设备进行通信，在IC卡上可以有彩色图案和说明性文字按ISO标准。

限制了 HOST 存取 卡上物件的权限
某些物件需要有密码才能存取
有些则完全不能存取. 如 Private Key
GSM 的 Ki
则需要透过 Challenge-Response 方式 由 Host 传来 Challenge
然后 Smart Card 运算完毕后传回 Response. 透过这种方式可以避免通讯过程中遭受窃听破解。 不过
Smart Card 仍然存在数种可能的破解方法
如：针测式、软体式、窃听式、试误法、电流分析 等。 下面是实务上复制 GSM SIM Card 与卫星电视收视卡的过程，仅供学术研究 使用。 (1) GSM SIM 卡 (1999 实验) 最麻烦的是要解开 A3A8 演算法使用的 Ki 这个 Private Key
通常 只有卡的供应商才知道这个 Ki。手机也无法知道这个 Ki
而是由 HLR 查询 AuC 后
AuC 询问一个乱数产生的 SRAND
然后 SIM 卡运算出 SRES 后
透过 Air Interface 传回给 AuC
AuC 在自己比对是否 SRES 正确。由于每次 SRAND 都不同
除非知道 Ki
否则无法复制 SIM card. 后来
由于 A3A8 algorithm 被找到 short-cut
所以在有限次的喂给 SIM card 特定的 SRAND 后
可以拼凑出 Ki 的真正值。 使用的读卡机为自制 Phoenix Smart Card Reader/Programmer 软体使用 SIM_SCAN 即可从 SIM Card 中解出 Ki 接下来
要取得空白卡
不过一般个人并无法取得空白卡
所以就有人利用 PIC 与 EEPROM 作成 Wafer 卡
PS: 大陆卖的盗版卡也是一样使用 Wafer Card 来仿的。卫星直拨业者为了 反制盗版卡的行销
采用不断更新 Operation Key 的方式来 *** 。 盗圆李李版卡除非烧录了 Master Key 而能够自动更新 Operation Key
否则 一段时间后
卫星直拨业者更换 Operation Key
盗版卡就失效了。橘迟 需要送回重烧 Operation Key
或是手动由 DVB 遥控器扰败更新。 但即使盗版卡烧录了 Master Key
多人共用一组 Master Key
一旦该 Master 被业者得知
该 Master Key 也会被取消权限。无论如何
